Corrections Policy

Email drafterdaily@gmail.com with the subject line “Correction”. Include the article URL, the specific passage you believe is wrong, and — if you have one — a source. You do not need to be polite about it, and you do not need to be a subject-matter expert.

We aim to acknowledge every correction request within 48 hours and to resolve it within five working days. Factual corrections take priority over everything else we are doing.

• Correction — a factual error: a wrong number, date, name, attribution, or a statement of fact that is not true. We fix the text and add a dated correction note at the foot of the article stating what was wrong and what it now says. We do not remove the note later.
• Clarification — the facts were right but the wording was ambiguous or gave a misleading impression. We reword and add a dated clarification note.
• Update — new information has emerged since publication that materially changes the picture. We add the new information, change the update date, and note what changed. Updates are not corrections and are labelled differently.
• Typographical fixes — spelling, grammar, broken links, formatting. Fixed silently, because there is nothing for a reader to be misled about.

• Delete an article to make an error disappear. If a piece is unsalvageable we will say so on the page and explain why, rather than removing the URL.
• Rewrite the substance of a published article without marking it.
• Remove a correction note once published.
• Change coverage because a subject, advertiser or affiliate partner is unhappy with accurate reporting. Requests to remove accurate but unflattering material are declined. Requests to correct genuinely wrong material are welcomed from anyone, including the subject.
